Hotel Bars with top views #1

Greetings SoVibrant blog followers. Following a recent holiday, I'd like to share a couple of photos of an ace, high level hotel bar complete with swimming pool and open roof, just to make you jealous.

Located on the 33rd floor of Traders Hotel in Kuala Lumpur, the Skybar looks across to the KLCC Twin Towers via its completely open windows (no air-con here!) where you can sup mojitos and tiger beers and scoff spring rolls and crab cakes until your sick. Just marvelous.

An Armani Addition!

In keeping with the theme of a few of my past blogs I thought it would be nice to add to the Armani collection!

This Armani store sets a dominating presence in the heart of Tokyo’s Ginza shopping district. As in all of Armani’s buildings, it is essential that the store not only looks great and reflects the brand, but also captures the creative aspect of Armani himself. Not just a shopping tower, Armani goes to town by inhabiting a spa, restaurant, press offices and corporate space!

The expensive building of £20million stands proud in the famous Ginza Tower with a stunning facade of milk white plexi glass reflecting the surrounding Ginza Skyline.  Leaf like lights float down the facade changing in intensity and colour dependant on the time of year ... True Armani class!

Ferrari 458 Spyder GTS newest pictures and details

Ferrari 458 Spyder GTS is a one of the most rumored vehicle. there are very few details available about this car. Ferrari 458 Spyder GTS has a glass roof which flips upright and slides in to disappear behind the seats. according to the rumors, it has a 4.8 liter V8 engine with 570hp power. Ferrari 458 Spyder GTS has a 7 speed dual clutch transmission. it can reach 0-100km/h less than 3.6 seconds.

A world of glass...

On the 26th February 2009 Frankfurt opened to its new shopping centre, MyZeil.

A hollowed out facade is the most intriguing feature of the store. The “vortex” swallows up the atrium of the 8 floor department store by invading the space from ceiling to floor in nothing but glass, therefore supplying natural light to all floors. The funnel walls of the facade seamlessly run into the waves of the roof in order to drop steeply down in the shape of a frozen twister!

The department store is home to several restaurants, a fitness centre, and a chain of cinemas and IF needed, a 50 metre long, self supporting escalator called Expressway!

Public Sector Cutbacks Having Negative Impact On Office Market

CUTBACKS by the coalition Government have started to negatively impact on take-up in the Leeds office market, according to new research.

Both Leeds City Council’s 125,000 to 250,000 sq ft requirement and the NHS’s 40,000 sq ft requirement being put on hold had hit the market.

Take-up in the Leeds city centre office market in the second quarter of the year dropped to 48,552 sq ft.

Government officials have announced that around 15,000 jobs (out of 80,000) at the Ministry of Justice could be axed in an effort to save £2bn from its £9bn budget, meaning that any potential relocation to Leeds from London and the South East has been quashed.

Industry experts estimated the requirement at around 215,000 sq ft earlier this year but it was put on hold in March and then pulled in May after the election.

It was also announced that England’s public spending watchdog, the Audit Commission, which employs over 2,000 people and has an office at Leeds City Office Park, is to be scrapped. This will bring over 7,950 sq ft of 'tenanted' space to the city’s’ office market.

The market is fragile following poor performance in the second quarter where take up was down for the third year in a row to 48,552sq ft. It had already been hit after Leeds City Council’s 125,000 to 250,000 sq ft and the NHS’s 40,000 sq ft plus requirements were put on hold after the election.

The local property market has been relying on these major public sector requirements, with rumours that Highcross’ Broadgate (169,000 sq ft), Deltalord’s The Mint (115,000 sq ft), and IVG’s Latitude Red (122,000 sq ft) would have satisfied them.

Had the requirements materialised it was hoped that it might lead to some speculative development in the City Centre, but now that these are on hold it would take a strong developer build anything speculatively.
