OPS Bersepadu Raya Helmet Poster

Helmet Poster1. OPS Bersepadu Hari Raya Puasa 2009 is just starting from 13 September to 27 September. The Raya celebration is also around the corner and like many other years before, this is the time where people are prone to the possibility of involving in an accident.

2. Please do not ever think that you will always be safe, especially when you are riding a motorcycle. Based on Malaysia road accident statistics, from approximately 6800 fatalities, almost half are coming from motorcyclists. So, please wear your helmet and be safe to everybody. This is a poster made by Jabatan Keselamatan Jalan Raya (JKJR) Malaysia. Thanks to them for their road safety campaign efforts.

Don't Use Helmet Aged More than 5 Years

1. Malaysia Transport minister, Datuk Seri Ong Tee Keat today is really anxiety about helmet that has been used more than 5 years. He released the statment due to the quality of aging helmets are doubtful and usually the lifespan of the helmet is just 5 years.

“Bahan topi keledar yang melebihi lima tahun mungkin sudah merosot, ini berasaskan kepada hasil kajian baik dari pihak MIROS (Institut Keselamatan Jalan Raya) atau badan antarabangsa,” katanya kepada pemberita di sini hari ini.

2. I wonder since when MIROS has this piece of information. The helmet research is still on going and the results are still long way to get. Hmm.

3. He also said something about the helmet must follow the standard from SIRIM. Yeah I think all the helmet at the market at the moment follow the standard from SIRIM. Is there none?

Disco Ball Helmet: The Safest Helmet on Earth. Heh.

Cool Helmet1. Malaysia will be soon banning the half-shell helmet and this decision alone has angered most of bikers and riders in Malaysia, at least to the teen and youth group. Well, they are actually love style in everything they do without thinking the consequence.

2. Today, accidentally while surfing the internet, I found this unique and good looking helmet. The designer of the helmet got the idea from a disco, somewhere in Paris. So, I found out this helmet is actually can be the alternative to those half-shell helmets among Malaysian bikers. Not only it is full-shell, the helmet also provided great reflective light and without doubt, will increase the visibility of the motorcylist at the night. It looks very stylo too.

3. The bad news is this only my recommendation. The helmet is still not yet in the market, or even in the hand of SIRIM. Lots of things need to be researched and analyzed before the government can approve this kind of helmet in the market. Till then, please don't use half-shell helmet okay? Thanks. :D

A Small Kid Ride A Motorcycle?

1. The world is indeed of in the edge of turmoil, where a new type of slavery is just appearing the gate. I'm shocked while receiving these pictures of a kid gave a ride to an adult on motorcycle! Where is our human right? where is the safety precaution? where is the children supporter groups? Why this kind of hazard could be allowed on road? But the funny thing is even a kid know how to wear a helmet, how about you? Do you wear a helmet while riding the motorcycle?

2. Last time, there is a funny guy who ride a motorcycle using his feet while his hand playing a cellphone. Don't trust me? Look it HERE. Now we have a kid ride a Honda GL motorcycle and both story is sharing a common background. I just realize that people who involve in the stories are from Indonesia. Kewhh at least not Malaysia eh or even your country.

3. Back to the story, instead of the kid's riding the bike slowly, he ride fast and dangerously. Guess what? you might be wondering how a small kid can ride the motorcycle while his feet cant touch the ground. Look carefully at the pictures. The adult's feet from his back (probably his father) is controlling the brake and motor gear. So meaning the kid was just controlling the throttle. I asked you, is it safe or not? Anything could be happening. Prevention is better than cure. Don't you agree?

He Lived. Wear Your Helmet!

Motorcycle Lorry Crash Pictures 11. I got this email from my colleague, it has been a while, might as well you already read this email, but in case you didn't, this is something you need to stop and ponder. I will comment a bit about this road safety email based on my observation.

2. Introduction: A truck was traveling down the highway at around 1 o'clock in the morning near Tulsa, Oklahoma. Motorcyclist was traveling at about 120mph (180km/h) and ran into the back of the moving semi-truck. Truck driver said he felt the impact, and it took almost a 1/4 mile for him to pull over. This is what we found...

Motorcycle Lorry Crash Pictures 23. What that guy is doing? Looking for his lost stuff inside the truck? But his body position is just too weird for the task. Lets zoom it a bit..

Motorcycle Lorry Crash Pictures 34. Holy Moly Poly! The head is just stuck at the back of the lorry. You might wonder why the rescuer didnt remove the guy from the lorry. You know the answer? I dont know, but from my humble opinion, it is either the guy was already dead (which implies that the title of the email is just wrong! haha). OR you know, you cant just remove a person from the scene without any consultation from medical expert as if u remove the guy wrongly, high possibility that the condition of the guy would be worsen and might as well be dead.

Motorcycle Lorry Crash Pictures 4
Motorcycle Lorry Crash Pictures 55. The introduction told us that the biker's speed was about 180km/h. So do you believe that? Maybe there were witnesses but how trustworthy these witnesses are? Even expert cant determine speed of a vehicle just by looking at it unless there are some reference point for example the expert know the speed of lorry before that severe collision. But based on my experience, the speed is relevant as I have seen my real friend speed up to 220km/h using his R1 motorbike! Anyway, to summarize thing, helmet is indeed could save life or at least if it didnt, it save your head from blowing out so that somebody will recognize you and your remaining is still intact. So what are you waiting for? Wear your helmet!

Update and Editted: He was DEAD, so my 1st assumption is correct. Follow this Link to Know the Truth
