The Egg Chair was designed by Arne Jacobsen in 1958 for the Radissen Hotel in Copenhagen.
Manufactured by Fritz Hansen, the Egg chair became an instant design classic. The rear portion can just be covered by a single cow hide avoiding any joints, although fabric versions are available.
The cost used to make the chair pretty exclusive, however you can now cradle your bottom in one down at your local Maccy-d’s! Hopefully this won’t affect it’s iconic status.
