The Car is Moving Under Road?

This Volkswagen didn’t get underwater, it got under road, as such thing can happen only in post Soviet space, this time in Ukraine. The people had to escape through the baggage door as it was the only part of the car not under the road.

Yes, this is one way to show that actually many people were dead on the road without we realize it.

World's Safest School Bus

This school bus photo looks funny yet interesting. I think it is worth to award the school bus with "World's safest school bus" title. The school bus also can grab the title of the best rollover protection in the road crash accident. Can you agree with these?

Creative Air Cones For Road Safety

1. Road Cones can be a pain sometimes, for the driver a safety hazard and for the guy who has to place them on the road, a back breaking job. Not many must have thought of redesigning this thing, but innovation is really called for. Interim let’s look at the Air Cone Concept; it’s this flattened balloon strip that you lay on the road. Inflating it causes Air Cones to pop up, but care has been taken to ensure a sturdy design. Only hope that crazy kids with pins in hand don’t got popping it just for fun. :)

2. In my opinion, beside being helpful on the traffic management on the highways, these creative air cones are also suitable to be used in the city. For example, special lane that only opened during morning peak hours from Grand Saga Cheras to Kuala Lumpur. Those who are frequently using that stretch will know what I mean.

The Most Weird Road in the World [PIC]

1. The Atlantic Road was located in Norway and opened in 1989. The road is currently a toll-free. Chosen as “Norway’s construction of the century” in 2005, the 8.72-kilometre (5.4 miles) long road links together small coastal communities.

2. I'm still never been there. So I can't tell the feel of driving on such road. Must be pretty jumpy eh?

Popular Road Kill Calendar 2010

1. Fed up with the usual calendars featuring semi-naked models, cute puppies or rural scenes? Well how about this idea - a 'roadkill' calendar featuring a run-down of your favourite animals and this kind of calendar proves surprisingly popular.

2. The year starts with a squashed squirrel, followed by a dead badger lying on the verge in February. The shots get a little more strange by the end of the year - November is a fish stranded on the roadside while December features a festive photo of an unidentifiable carcass.

3. It might seem in bad taste but it has proved a hit, with creator Kevin Beresford selling hundreds of copies already.

'The pictures are quite shocking but I've tried to take them in an artistic way and make each one into a portrait of a silent, tiny tragedy,' he insisted. The 57-year-old said his day job gave him the idea.

'I'm a courier and travel around so I see a lot of roadkill and it inspired me,' he said. 'Damien Hirst has made a fortune with dead animals so I thought I'd give it a try.'

Some shops have refused to stock it but it was proving popular with students and 'would make a good Secret Santa office present', Mr Beresford said.
