I just wanted to post this render I came across while browsing the usual geeky 3D galleries online. The image completely stands out as head and shoulders above others that I have seen recently. It is by Cat-a-pult studios (http://www.cat-a-pult.com.ua/) and was created using 3DS Max, Vray and Photoshop.
At first glance this 3D render could very easily be mistaken for an actual photograph. When you look closely, you can see that the photorealism is largely down to the huge attention to detail that the artist has. Also the lighting used in this render manages to create a mood which really pulls you into the image.
As always, any C&C's are welcome and any ideas on how the render might have been created.
